loan modification

In June of 2009 Litton loan sent me a loan modification package, saying that if we made the first three trial period payments, that we would qualify for the modification. We did that, they sent us the final documents, we signed them and for nine months paid the modified price which saved us 1500.00 a month. January 27th, (my mortgage due on the 1st) they sent a form letter saying that we were disqualified for the program. On January 28th, we received a payment coupon with the payment back up to 2899.00, and a past due of over 18,000.00!!!!! 1 week prior to receiving this notice, I spoke to our Modification Representive Dana White, who never told me anything!!!! As a matter of fact, everytime I spoke to her I kept asking her again, are you sure we're all set? This seems to good to be true? She just kept on reassuring me that yes, Litton Loan was here to help us. I have appealed their decision, which is a joke, because they pretend like they don't receive any of my letters. I thought Ameriquest was bad? Litton Loan is right up there next to them.
even recognizing that trial modifications are simply that, and that most such trials never reach permanent status, what you describe is outright ridiculous. now perhaps your representative was unaware of the background work being done on your case, and that would excuse her from guilt if that's the case. i wonder how often the person you speak with actually knows the ramifications of all that's taking place.

by all means you need to appeal this, and i would have to surmise at this point that having legal representation is in your best interests. you didn't say whether you have a lawyer in your corner or not, but it sure seems a reasonable thing to do. of course, that's another out-of-pocket expense. i might have one suggestion of a firm i was recently introduced to, if you'd like to send me a message or contact me otherwise. i actually spoke to one of the lawyers from the firm and i was truly gratified to hear some of the things he had to say. that's not to say i am 100% committed to him or his firm, but based on my preconceived notions, i was pleasantly surprised at what he had to say.

maybe there's reasonably priced help out there for you. i invite you to check it out, though.
