Citimortgage Loan Modification

Posted on: 20th Feb, 2009 04:20 pm
i am 20 days behind my mortgage payment with citigroup. i called late jan 2009 to let them know i will be late paying and said they will send me a loan modification packet which never came...we bought at $409k with 5% down, according to zillow prop is now worth $350K. i have a 30yr fixed at 6.50..has anyone had any experience with citimortgage and their practices? my income has been tremendously reduced. can someone please help me with a sample letter. when writing a hardship letter aside from my reduced income would it help to explain medical situations also or would it look lame and pitifull and would make them think i really cant afford the house. I would love to keep the house for the sake of my 3 boys. these are things i never had growing up and dont want to feel like im taking it away from them>>.please help me with a sample hardship letter and any suggestions .

God bless all of you!!
Lenders such as Chase, Citimortgage & agreements are signed by their stimulus plan to provide loan modification services to each homeowner who is under the guidance of relaxed eligibility. Therefore, in case you have & mortgage refinancing or modification is rejected, you can try again in the new federal subsidy program. why refinance and pay fees which will add to your loan balance, when you can get a loan modification for free? with a loan modification there are no closing costs, you can lower your rate to 2%, you don't need any equity in your home, you could get a principal reduction, your credit score has nothing to do with qualifying for a loan modification, bankruptcy does not matter, foreclosure does not matter, and you can apply yourself and structure the loan modification to give you the lowest possible payment.

learn how to apply for a loan modification and structure it to give you the best deal: there is a book called "loan modification secrets" that you can get if you go to google ebooks or it is also at amazon which will show you how you can apply and structure your loan modification. good luck!

Everybody can go to makinghomeaffordable.gov and download the packet to fill out and send to the lender or contact a HUD Certified counseling agency that can help you with the process and it's FREE.

Ex-husband did not refinance in 90 days as court ordered. He got modified instead. I signed a quit claim deed as ordered. But that didn't release me from mortgage. Now I am still on a loan for property that I can't sale, rent or even go in. Want to know if I can put a lien up against property to force his hand. And will it hurt his modification.

Hi Moma,

You can only place a lien if he owes something to you. That is not the case. Nevertheless, you should visit a local attorney and take his opinion in this regard. Placing a lien on the property may not impact his loan modification.

Thanks
