Wells Fargo Loan Modification (farse)

Posted on: 29th Jun, 2009 01:18 pm
I applied for (what I thought was) the Obama March 4, 2009 home affordability modification program with Wells Fargo. I finally got the call this week (after following up several times each week) that my modification was denied and that I wasn't even eligible for the Obama plan because my loan wasn't a gov't backed loan. There is nothing in treasury dept papers on the program that states the loan has to be a gov't backed. IS this true? Wells Fargo had been awful to deal with. I was visited by the sheriff last week with foreclosure papers... Not a good time.
Hi chooper,

It is true that you would be eligible for the home affordability modification program introduced by the Obama Government only if your loan is government backed. This is one of the important requirements to qualify for the home affordability modification program. You can contact your lender and check out if you can qualify for a normal Wells Fargo loan modification program.

Thanks
