i should't be complaining considering all the other posts about losing their homes. i have been on the gmac list for about 8 mo. 80/20 loan i made the mistake of paying the 80 part of the loan on the 20 account. got that fixed after several scream fests with their "customer service" team. what a crack group that is. then in sept. 2010 they state i missed a payment. (no, it was paid). since that time i have been trying to get this straightened out. the people (at loss mitigation) put you on hold forever and then decide they can;t help you. but they continue send you paperwork to apply for refi. i dont need a refi, i need a customer service rep with a brain.

have sent this to my states dept of labor (insurance bureau) to get some assistance. but i am made to feel like such a looser, i am one of the fortunate folks in michigan, i have been gainfully employed through out the recession/finacial collapse/ bank bail out. i just don't feel anyone at gmac is listening/capable of helping out. suggestions?????
Hi SICOGMAC!

Welcome to forums!

If you've made the payments on time, then you should have a document related to that. You should fax a copy of that document to GMAC and inform them that you've made the payment on time and thus, they can't send any papers related to non payment of dues.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

What in the world would the "insurance bureau" at the Department of Labor in your state have to do with rectifying a dispute about a monthly payment (made or not made) on a mortgage loan?????

Honestly, it appears that you (Sico) and they (GMAC) speak different languages. They're looking for a loan payment on a mortgage, and you are apparently discussing a premium payment on an insurance policy.

Perhaps I misread what you are claiming about who you're dealing with to try to get the payment issue resolved, but it's abundantly clear to me from reading your initial paragraph that this all ought to be a mortgage-related issue.

And then:

what would a Labor Department have to do with lending? Did GMAC borrow some underage folk to work there? Is that the issue?

I'm baffled at your post.
