What to do

My husband has left my family and we own a home with him as the borrower myself the co-borrower. I cant afford the mortagage payment alone, and need to put the house up for sale before it forecloses. I dont have any contact with him, dont know where he is, been gone for 4 months now. Is there a way to claim him as abandoned off the deed, to show just in my name to sign of the home when it sells?
Hi state,

It is not quite possible to take your husband's name off the deed without his consent and sell the home. He has to sign over the title to you so you can have the house in your name and put it on the market for sale. However, if your name is on the property deed, you can file a partition lawsuit in the court and force a sale of the house. But you need to consult a real estate attorney to know if that option will work in your situation.
