We went through a conventional short sale because our income was reduced. How long do we need to wait in order to get qualified for a VA loan?

If around 2 years are over since your property went for short sale, then you may get qualified for a VA loan now.

I agree with what Jerry has said. Moreover, if you have no more late payments prior to the short sale mentioned on the credit report, then getting a loan after short sale will be easier.
