Hello there... My property was sold off at a public auction. We have opted for cash for keys and have to move out within the 15th of the next month. We are ready for it. But there is a tenant who lives in the apartment attached with the property and that person is not moving and have also not paid rent for past few months. What should I do?
It is strange that you let the tenant live in that apartment without paying rent for the last few months. You and the lender should send him an eviction letter which might help you remove him from the property.
