loan modification

Two questions...

I just got married. My wife is still in the "trial period" for the loan modification with Wells fargo. WIll her getting married kick her out of the program?

Also, since we got married, she obviously moved in with me. We are going to rent out her house. Will that kick her out of the program since it won't be her primary residence?

She is so close ot getting this to be permanent.

Thank you!
I do not work for Wells Fargo but I do work in the modification dept of a larger Mortgage company...

It really depends on how far along she is with the mod. If she has gotten past Under writing and just waiting for the final mod documentation.... she might be able to get it done..

BUT if she is no longer living in the home... and Under Writing verifies that the property is no longer her primary.. and is now considered an "investment" property it will remove her from the program...

This is of course based on the term "trial period" which leads me to believe she is in the Home Affordable Modification program. the HAM as it is called only covers primary residence.

At my company I know that we can still try and mod investment homes under a traditional or "in house" modification but that is on a lender to lender basis. Most mod programs are only geared toward your main home.

You being just married should have no effect.

Hope that helps
