Changing deeded property

Posted on: 17th Feb, 2014 07:18 pm
I am my uncle's power of attorney. His property was deeded to his son who does nothing for him in 2000. I would like to try and get a reverse mortgage so that he can get some money to help pay for care. He can no longer care for himself and money has run out. Son refuses to sell or try to get a reverse mortgage. What can I do
Very little if the son owns the home and will not cooperate. Unless the son allows the home to be deeded back to the father you are not going to have a way to get a reverse mortgage. Keep working on him and hopefully he will come around.
