Quit claim deed

Can someone take your property with a quit claim deed if you are NOT willing to sign it over? There is a property owner that lives by my dad and he cannot sell his house because it has come out now that the property description was inaccurate when he bought the house, not sure whose fault, but he has hired a lawyer and is trying to get my father to sign over a portion of his property to make the description favor him. My dad has the original property description from when he bought the house 50 years ago. He is being threatened that if he doesn't sign it over the lawyer is going to go to a judge and get a quit claim deed on his property and so he will lose it anyways. This does not seem fair or right to me.
Unless your father sold him the land it isnt his problem and they cant force him to give them the land - dont do anything a lawyer tells him to do - they arent a judge and are just intimidating him into signing -
Tell them no and if they dont let it go get an attorney.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help with.
