Quick deed claim

Posted on: 06th May, 2014 12:09 pm
I moved out from my state to another state and moved in with my mom to be her caregiver. I agreed, under the circumstances that I would be left the house after she passes so I would have a place to live after she is gone. She is still able bodied and able to take care of herself during the day. I have been given the house in her Will, but she seems to think that other family members are going to argue the decision and wants to check into finding out if there is anything we can do meantime. Will a quick deed claim help secure the wishes she has for the home? We do not know what to do or who to see for securing her wish.

Thank You

Who is the real owner of the house? If it's your mother , then you should sign the quitclaim deed. After signing the deed you will have no legal authority on that hose any more. But ofcourse if there is any loan taken on that house which has your name added in the loan documents, you will still have the liability to pay the loan.
