mortgage in husband name want to add wife to deed how do i do this mortgage co will not add her unless we redo mortgage. i live in n.j

most of the mortgages come with a 'due on sale' clause that makes the loan amount immediately payable when and if a change in title takes place. thus, you can add your wife to the title, only if you refinance it in both of your names. i'm not aware of any other way by which you can add her without refinancing or informing the lender.
