I have a friend She has a home she her boyfriend is on the deed; he wants to claim bankruptcy if he...I have a friend she has a home her boyfriend is on the deed. He is considering going bankrupt can they take equity from her home to pay for his bankruptcy since he is on the deed to her home. The Home is in her name only but as stated earlier he is on the deed.
one cannot be the sole owner while having another person "on the deed." honestly, we need clarification as to who owns the home.
