What a great site!!! We married, then bought house ... impending divorce and he's to keep house. For no renumeration, I want my name off title. I've heard of Warranty Deed of Assumpsit. What the heck is it, and is this the way to go? Can I just download form and record myself? What do I look for?
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
either quit claim it to him but if you are on the mortgage you will have to refi off the loan and your name will come off that way
hi mcman!
welcome to forums!
i agree with scott. you can sign a quitclaim deed in your ex-spouse's name to remove your name from the property deed. but if there is a mortgage, then your ex-spouse will either have to refinance it or assume the loan. this will remove your name from the mortgage.
feel free to ask if you have further queries.
