Getting someone off property/land deed, when they refuse

Posted on: 05th May, 2012 08:56 am
Hi,
I need to know how to get someone off some land/property deeds and they are refusing to sign, can it be done? This person is someone whom I thought I was going to share my life with. We were not married or common law marriage.

Thank you
Welcome Guest,

Unless the concerned person signs the deed and transfers the property to you, it won't be possible for you to remove them from your property.

Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

You cannot forcefully remove someone from the property deed. As Adonis has said, the concerned person needs to sign and transfer the property to you. You can even try to buy out that person in order to get the property transferred in your name.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
