I belong to Indian Hindu Punjabi family. I am married and before marriage, I was also working in State Govt.i.e. P.A. to Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak. I working for four years before my marriage. My parents arranged my marriage with any dowry. Even after my marriage, they were dependents on me and got facilities in my C.G.H.S. i.e. health card. My two sisters and one only brother are also married and parents arranged their marriage with pump and show. I have one daughter and I was seperated from my husband after elapse of two years of my marriage. I am in New Delhi and working in Central Govt. I remained with my daughter from the beginning when she was only six months old. But my parents never supported in my any manner. Now my father has expired and my mother wants to give all her property even ansestral to my only brother. Pl. guide me whether I can get any share from that property.
Well, if the property is in your parents' name and currently owned by your mother, then she can give it to whoever she wants. It's better if you consult a local attorney on this issue.
