i had my house 1 year before i got married last year. my husband and i live in seperate households. it is time for me to refinance, he is disable. do i have to add him to my deed? is this my separate property or is it half my wife's property too? i live in iowa.

You can refinance the mortgage solely in your name. You don't have to add your spouse to the property or the mortgage. If your spouse's name is not mentioned on the property deed, then it will be considered as your separate property.
