My soon to be ex-spouse and I live in SC. Can we quit claim a deed by mail for property in ohio
Hi Theresa,

If the property is located in Ohio, then you will have to record the deed at the county recorder's office over there. In such a situation, you need to be present there in person.

Thanks

Hello Theresa,

If someone else claims that they own the property or that the owner of the property owes them money, there might be a lien on the property. This person must be able to prove these claims.

Yes, as long as the deed conforms to Ohio law. Send it to the county recorder's office in the county where the property is located. They may have a website with info on how to file.
