can a quit claim deed be used to give half ownership of my home to my best friend?...my best friend want to be a 50/50 owner in my property and buy into my property. basically he will pay to me the same amount (downpayment) to share equal rights to the home.

A quitclaim deed can be used to give 50% ownership of the property to your friend. You'll have to sign a quitclaim deed and add your friend. Once the deed is filled out, you need to notarize and record the deed.
