My dad owns a home here in Michigan, the house is being broken into constantly. He is in South Dakota working at a great job. He wants to quit claim the house to me so that i can fix it up and rent it out, problem is that there are others that have interest in the home. Can he do this quit claim, and what are my worries with these other interest with the property

Welcome to the forum. I think there are other owners on the property. So your father can't quitclaim without other owner's consent. He should consult with all the owner's and take their consent before he quitclaims the property to you.
