Will a Quit Claim Deed serve this purpose?

i initiated the purchase of my home, i got married before the closing. at closing i signed all documents, and the officers asked my new husband to sign to reflect my name change during the process. we have since divorced and now i want a quit deed so he will relinquish any rights he may have. i this the proper action?

i don't understand what took place:

"the officers asked my new husband to sign to reflect my name change"

this seems to be an unprecedented occurrence. who were "the officers"? toody and muldoon?

your name change could have easily been taken care of with an affidavit. nevertheless, to answer your major question - if he's an owner now, he can certainly relinquish his owner's rights to you via a quit claim deed.
