DOES A SPOUSE HAVE TO SIGN A QUIT CLAIM DEED BEFORE I CAN SELL INHERITED POPERTY?

does your spouse have to sign a quit claim deed proir to you selling inherited property.
Hi SSWINK!

Welcome to forums!

I hope your spouse's name is not mentioned on the deed of your inherited property. In that case, your spouse will not have to sign a quit claim deed before you sell it off. If the property is solely in your name, you won't require his signatures.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

It depends on what state the property is in - how's that for an answer:) Different laws in different states regarding marital property, but yes, it's possible that if you sell property that YOU inherited your spouse will also need to sign the deed.
