I currently own my home with my parents on the mortgage title as well. I was recently married and would like to remove my parents and add my wife to the mortgage. We plan on re-financing as well, but I thought it may be easier to if the names on the title were first corrected. Suggestions?

You will have to ask our parents to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. Once they do so, you can add your wife by signing another quitclaim deed. Then, both of you can refinance the mortgage in your names.
