given that fannie and freddie own or guarentee over 98% of new or refinance loans, where can one find a mortgage that will not be owned or guarenteed by the federal government through the gses?

Hi mdemaster,

It will be difficult for me to let you know where you can get mortgages which are not owned or guaranteed by Federal government. You need to speak to individual lenders and check out if they can offer such loans.
