after a recent divorce, the decree states to have x spouses name removed, but i cant refinance because x dumped all his debt on me and credit score is now low. are there any other avenues i can take to remove his name from the loan? divorce decree states i must make it so x is not responsible for mortgage. please help.

With a bad credit, you won't able to refinance the loan in your name. Without refinancing you won't be able to remove your ex-spouse's name from the mortgage. Thus your ex's name would remain on the mortgage until you are able to refinance.
