Release of Lien

i am trying to refinance my home. i have been informed that there is a lien on the deed. in 2006 i filed bankruptcy and the lien is from one of the companies listed therein. the debt was forgiven by the court. how do i get this lien removed?
Hi Damaryllis!

Welcome to forums!

As the debt was forgiven by the court, you will have to request for a release of lien certificate from the company which placed the lien on your property. This will help you in removing the lien from your property.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
