are there any companies that will refinance our mobile home without the title?...we applied for and were approved for a refinance loan, had our house appraised, and went to finish everything only to be told that the new bank would not give us the money without the title from the old bank whom would not give us the title without the money. our credit score was 732 and our appraisal came back at $93,000. is there any banks that can help us out.
i don't understand the issue here...it is common in finance that the title won't transfer to the new lender until the old lender is paid in full. that ought to be able to take place (virtually) coincidentally.
why not try to get both lenders in the same room at the same time - do the transaction in their presence, and they can hand over cash (check) and title all at the same time?
this sounds like another round of "let's be stupid" by a lender.

That does sound screwy. Who are you dealing with? And were you the one that called me yesterday asking if we could do FHA manufactured homes?

Haha. I was totally surprised as well! I just don't know anyone that can do FHA Manufactured homes. I know on HUD's site it says they do but only up to a loan amt of approx. $60k.

I know it sounds screwy. Our current mortgage co is greentree and the bank that was going to give us the loan was Countrywide. There has to be a company out there somewhere that can work with us.

Are you trying to refinance your existing loan with Countrywide?
