Got new medicaid insurance in January 2014. My income qualified me to get the insurance. My Mom died the end of January. Can I keep my inheritance which includes a one fifth share in two other homes beside my own. I also inherited almost $50,000 but have kept only $17,000.

foreclosure with home equity prior to prossess

while still in my house for couple years going thru mortgage help program thru my lender and not able to make mortgage payments, my mortgage developed from a rightside-up loan to an upsidedown loan. could I assume that the equity has benefited me in anyway and if not, whom? The longer I stay in my house going thru the mortgage help program , I seem to be getting deeper in debt to the bank thru fees and blances owed on my mortgage. I have not been able to find another place to live because of damaged credit now. What should I do?
The equity has done nothing for you - when you dont make the payments the balance goes up - if they add fees the balance goes up - I would be looking for a place to rent until you can fix your credit and then start over.

selling family home

If no lean has been ever put on my mother's estate for Medicaid used in the nursing home before she died...if I sell the house willed to me, can Medicaid come back on me for expenses?
Possibly - probably a better question for a local attorney as laws vary state to state - if they had anything that said they could come after the home if there was an outstanding bill my guess is they could come after the estate of the deceased as well.

Hope it all works out

rent to own buyer being evicted

Posted on: 13th Mar, 2014 09:59 am
I am renting to own a house in fl. I have been late on payments but Have paid. I had to pay $6400 down on the home. It is paid and now I am paying the mortgage but have not closed. I thought we would close in Dec. 2013. Owner said we had to pay taxed on the house from 2012 and 2013 before we can close. We were late this month and we have been served and eviction notice. What can we do?
Pay the rent - of course he wants you to mess up he will keep your money and sell it to someone else - Read your contract if you break any item in the contract the seller can void the option to buy in most cases. You cant mess around with the monthly - when you go to get a mortgage they may ask to see the last 12 months payments if you are late they could deny you based on that - I would read the contract with regards to who pays the taxes.

Good Luck

Home loan

Posted on: 12th Mar, 2014 12:12 pm
Hi, I was wondering if there are any home loans that my husband and I could get or will it still be awhile. My husband and I had great credit until a few years ago when so many otheres struggled as well (2010) we had a bankruptcy. We had two houses and we let both go back. Except we stayed for about two years in the one till (9/ 2012) understanding that it was all done with the bankruptcy. However our credit score is 699, 710 how long will it take to be able to get a home loan?-Ann
Your shortest wait will be 3 years from when the last home trasnferred out of your name - if it transferred when you moved it would be 9/2015 - however it usualy takes banks a while to put the home back into their name - You should check to see what that date was so you have a better understanding of when you can get a mortgage. For banks this is considered the same as a foreclosure.

taxes on heir property

Posted on: 16th Feb, 2014 01:21 pm
Are siblings not living on the property (live out of state) financially responsible to help siblings living on the property pay taxes?
Only if they are part owners in the property - I would think those living there should be responsible - if it is too much ask them to sell as you want out and need your share??

However if the taxes are not paid the property may default and be lost for all.
