Community review and response on Budgeting Tool

Posted on: 11th Apr, 2006 02:55 am
Hi Friends,

We have launched the "Personal Budgeting Tool" that will help us in managing our budget and finances. You can download the tool from our Spreadsheet Tools section.

This is the beta version and with time, we will be launching the upgraded versions.

Explore the section at http://www.mortgagefit.com/spreadsheet/personal-budgeting.html to know about the features of the budgeting tool.

I am starting this thread so that community can post their comments and suggestions. This will help us in improving the tool for better use.

Looking forward to your feedback and suggestions,

Regards

Is it possible to get the password for the Budgeting Tool? I'd like to place change/add to the Expenses.

Thanks.

What a fantastic software (Personal Budget Tool excel file) you have cleverly created. I find it really practical for personal use, and I have recently downloaded a copy of it for personal use. It works well except I cannot modify the cell name to suit my personal details. I realised that there is a password to modify this READ ONLY file.

Thanks,

Hi Ruatu,

Welcome to our community. :)

It's good to hear that the budgeting tool could be of your help.

Hope you're fine working with it.

Thanks,

Excellent Tool. Easy to use and easy to understand. The only thing I would add to it is a tab with liabilities connected to the personal debt section. That way you can program a debt management and reduction to your budget. That would be sweet. I appreciate your efforts.

Just joined the forum and downloaded the software. This is a great basic budgeting tool and very easy to use. Daily spending habits are very important when creating a budget and you have done a great job with that. Thanks for the download.

Welcome Dcrum.

I too felt comfortable using this budgeting tool and it's such a helpful one. In these days of credit crunch one has to be extremely careful with the day to day expenses and with the help of this tool, I'm able to maintain a record of all my exepnses and also check that it doesn't exceed my budget.

I have even recommended this tool to my friends and some of them have even tried out and are quite comfortable with it.

Thanks.

What is the password to unlock the sheet

Hi Frederick,

I don't think there is any such password to use the budgeting tool sheet. However, I found a similar discussion on the following page. I think it might help you.
