statute of limitation for filing a QCD

My property's mortgage was assigned from my bank to another party who negotiated the payoff of the note. This assignment was done in Feb 2008, but just last week the mortgage QCD was filed in the Auditor's and Recorder's offices just one day before I had to attend a hearing in court where this guy was filing a TRO against me to stop me from entering the property.
