Partner Property Debt

My siblings and I were in a partnership in a house our father deeded to us before his death. One partner paid the taxes for all others for a variety of reasons with the understanding of reimbursement upon the sale of the house. Six months before the sale, the partner transferred his share of the property to his son. Who now has claim to the tax repayment money?

As the son is the owner of the property's share, you can pay it to him. However, it will be better if you could contact that sibling and take his opinion in this matter as well.
