Hi india!

Welcome to forums!

As I've suggested in my earlier post, you need to contact the PHA and check out with them regarding section 8.

Hi Step!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, you can apply for section 8 though you do not have a job. You can contact the public housing authority of your locality and they would help you in doing the needful.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

You'll be able to transfer the section 8 voucher from one place to another. As far as the value of the voucher is concerned, you'll have to contact the local PHA and take their opinion.

Hi montoyia!

Welcome to forums!

I can understand that you're facing a tough situation. You can contact your friends and relatives for help. They can lend you the money to file for section 8. Meanwhile, you should keep on applying for jobs so that it becomes easier for you to manage your needs.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
