Has anyone used Eagle Nationwide Mortgage? How are they to work with?
Eagle Nationwide Mortgage is a subsidiary of Eagle National Bank.

I haven't heard any negatives about them. But to be sure you should check with BBB website to know if any complaints have been filed against them.

Hi Vurango,

The Sunset Mortgage Company is under the new name of Eagle Nationwide Mortgage Corp. which is now merged with Eagle National Bank. This new company is approved by FHA and VA. As they are newly merged with Eagle National Bank, so currently they have limited products and services.

Moreover, you should not assume that they are doing the same business as they did in the past.

Hi Vurango,

Welcome to the forums.

I haven't dealt with Eagle Nationwide Mortgage but it seems that they are reliable. This is what i know about the company:

As far as I know, Eagle Nationwide Mortgage is a company approved both by the FHA and VA. They broker our government insured loans to wholesalers in the market. The good thing about them is that they are set up as a national branch network so that borrowers need not be bothered about net branch operations. As they are federally chartered and owned by a bank, so they are carefully watched out by the Federal government.

Hope this helps you.

God bless you.

I just found out they are NOT --Nationwide "we're on your side" as i was quoted when i talked to them. my closing costs are not exactly what i was quoted on the phone and went over with for verification of quote. my good faith est. came in 600.00 higher! I am not thrilled at this moment and my husband said the appraiser they chose was at our home for 2minutes and not pictures were taken etc. Were not happy right now I do hope this will be straighted out when i talk to Denise Staark soon.

Hi Wil!

Welcome to Forums!

I am quite surprised that you contacted Lending Tree but received a call from the Eagle National Bank. Are they both related in anyway?

It is difficult to say whether the person you mentioned above deals with Eagle National Bank or not. I would suggest you to check whether the program you want to take will be beneficial to you or not. Once you feel its better you should go with the company.

How can I contact Eagle National Mortgage

Lending Tree brokers out their contacts to other lenders - its very possible that your info was given to them.

This is from my personal experience.

I just dealt with Eagle Nationwide. They deal with alot of government products. I had the same problem as the other couple with pricing errors and the appraiser he would not even answer any questions, he took few pictures, and didn't write down any upgrades. When I got the apprasial back, it came in well under value and he compared homes that weren't in our area. I could not refi.........I checked homes that sold on listings such as zillow and mls.com and although we are in a recession, it still was not as low as he stated. There appraisals lack patience. He was much in a rush for what? OH!! It was near Christmas. LOL. They took four weeks to tell me this and it was time to pay my mortgage. I called several times so that I could explore other options and they would not call me back, until the sales manager left me an email. They like to do everything through email, i believe for liability reasons. Dissappointed.

looking to refinance so far they have given me the best rate i wanted to find out if they are known to sell their contracts out. I hate dealing with a co. & then they sell you to another co. & you need to show proof of certain thing (documents). I want to feel good with a company & stay with them....

Sasha, These days very few lenders service the loans they write. I just signed loan application papers today with Eagle Nationwide which included a doc acknowledging that I understood that they would sell this loan to another serving agency. If you want to have your loan to stay with the lender I recommend that you call your local community banks. Some may hold and service the loans they make, otherwise expect to have any loan you make to be bundled with others and sold.
