Has anyone used Eagle Nationwide Mortgage? How are they to work with?
Eagle Nationwide Mortgage out of Pittsburgh is by far the worst mortgage company to deal with. Their mortgage brokers are very unprofessional and they LIE. Everyday they say everything is fine and that we are going to close and then they call needing something else. Their brokers lied to us and almost made us default in our current mortgage, luckily, we are not dumb people and are two steps ahead. If we had not caught on to them we would have defaulted in our mortgage and then would not have been approved for a new one. I will never in my lifetime again deal with this company. They claim they do not receive important documents when I have confirmation that they did. They think that they can lie and get away with it. I am reporting them to the BBB because they are horrible.

boy what a polished guy this loan officer sounds like!

guest, i'm afraid no matter who you deal with you will have difficulty finding a good interest rate with a not so good credit score. and rates have increased in the last couple of weeks, to top it off.

I wanted to get a loan so that I could get a few thousand dollars back. Spoke with loan officer Adam Ellis. He told me I would be able to skip 2 payments and also be refunded my escrow of 1800.00. When the loan finally went through, they did not pay my whole loan amount and it also ended up I only skipped 1 payment. My refund back for escrow and payment=1100.00. Wow!! Four more years to pay on a loan for this!!!!!!

i wouldnt trust them. i tried to finance with them when the rates were
really low. they said they had me locked in at a 4.87. gave them all of
my documents that they needed. after two months of waiting and them
telling me to be patient with them. they called me and told me they needed to see child support going into my checking account. my ex-husband hasnt paid me since january so they withdrew the loan after
i payed an appraiser $350.00. i would have to say i got screwed

one thing i would like to offer - please don't cite people by name when complaining about the way in which a loan has been handled. in many cases, a loan officer is being blamed for underwriting situations, or guidelines that change, or appraisal issues, or rate changes in the marketplace.

yes, we all make mistakes - it's a human thing - but to paint one person with a broad brush when things go awry is awfully harsh. next thing we know, somebody's name is being tossed around as if he or she is a bad guy, and that's not always the case.

let's just be careful about naming names. a generic description ought to work out okay.

I refinanced with them, I was completely lied to about where my money was going, wrote a 1364 check to go into Escrow and they added to closing...Tried to call and figure the situation out and LEE hung up an me after stating a deal is what it is good bye...I WOULD NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I have sent it to the BBB, because a lawer will cost me more that what its worth in fees do to being out of state

i went with eagle nationwide mortgage and was approved, had an appraisal
paid $350.00 out of my pocket. they had me wait two months to refinance
and at the end of the two months they backed out. i never got back my
$350.00. now the rates are going back up. they were not up front with

i read the entire thread> i must say im just a little bit nervous now...but i will be honest wether this be a good or bad experince...just so ya'll know i'm buying a primary residence, i have good credit, a high dti (debt to income), but being told it can be worked out...i should hear word back if im pre approved mid next week. my first impression is that they are honest and professional. i have some resrevation about working with ppl ive nvr seen and more issues with sending my personal and finanicial docs across state lines, but im over that and so far so good. they apparently are working hard for me and have been there evey step of the way and continue to answer my calls. considering im in a bit of a time crunch becuz im at the end of the contract period with the seller...this will be a good chance to see how efficient they are.

I have been dealing with Eagle Nationwide out of Maryland since March. They have been awful. So far they have repetitively asked for documents they already have. They have mixed up our file with my Fathers file. He has a different SSN, lives in a city 100 miles away, and has a different loan amount. Approved us for a loan different then the one we requested. Never keep us informed of the loan progress. I have to call them only to be told tha the loan is in processing and they will check on it. Ill call you in 15 minutes Days will go bye with no call back. I just called again today and was given the same lame excuse. I am so frustrated that I just have to find another broker or I will go insane. I have invested $400 for an appraisal and almost 5 months of time. My wife and I have great incomes and credit is in the 700s, so I don think that the problem. I just ca understand how incompetent and lazy these people are. If you are thinking of using these people, I beg, beg, beg you to reconsider. I wish I had done the research 4 months ago instead of today. All talk and no action! We have been dealing with Eagle Nationwide since March. They have been
