Welcome graycnnr,

It's quite surprising as to why they are withdrawing money from your account when you have already paid them. I think you should block the account from which they are withdrawing the money. You should also complain about the company with the State Attorney General.

I had a bad experienced with this paydayloan too, just like everybody else. I applied to obtain a $500 loan, instead they offer me a $200 loan. a rep called said that i qualified for this amount. didnt even waith for my permission, they went ahead and transfered the money to my account.called them the same day to cancel it and they did, spoke to Ricki.althought it was cancelled the money was in my acct. anyway. Prior to having the money in my acct. I inquired about how the payments work, They said that they will take $60 every other paycheck. since they can no longer pull the money out I went along with the plan and used the $200.After 4x of taking the money from my acct. i figured i'm almost done. Called the company and said that I still the same amount which was $200+60charge. she said the only way I can pay this loan is if i pay the full amount. Dispite the fact that they have already taken $240 my acct. they said i still owe them the $260. Went to FTC and BBB website and filed a complaint. today (1/21/09)I recieved a respond from BBB,that the loanpointusa settled the matter. I no longer owe them anything. Thanks BBB for your quick action!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

One of their reps just left a voice message on my cell and work phone, very rude might I add. The rep, Tori @ ext 2214, was very rude and hung up on me. I called back, asked for his supervisor. He would not give me that info. I called back, got the receptionist and she forwarded me to a supervisor and I was able to leave a message. I am filing a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General for the State of Louisiana. There is a way to talk to people when you call and Tori/Tory was down right rude.

Hi tonjua,

You can contact an attorney and ask him to deal with the creditor. He will check out the details in this regard. If the account has been transferred to a collection agency, then you can send them a debt validation letter and ask them to validate the debt.

Thanks

Hi leo,

If you have already paid off the debt, then you shouldn't worry about it. You should send them a debt validation letter and check out if they can validate the debt. If they cannot, then you can send them a cease and desist letter and ask them not to contact you any further.
