can naca.com be trusted?

i am 6 months late on my morgage.if allowed to re-finance at a rate of 5% or less i can make it.also can i add a family member on a re-finance?i am the only one one the morgage and i like to add my daughter.
let me preface my remarks by saying this: i am not employed by or affiliated with naca in any way, shape or form. my interest in posting here on these forums is strictly out of my desire to assist wherever possible. i have extensive experience in the lending arena, and that experience has given me sufficient insight that it makes sense for me to add my opinions. again, however, i am most definitely not affiliated with naca.

okay...based on what i know about naca, they are trustworthy and based on that knowledge, i have to assume that when they tell you that your lender is "hard to deal with" it's true. most lenders are notoriously slow in working with borrowers in a situation such as you describe and who desire to obtain modifications.

keep bothering naca as best you can, be as patient as you are able, and i'm sure they'll keep you posted on what they can or cannot do.

I'm not sure about naca. My father stood in line last year in March for a while, now it is March again and they haven't been able to help him with his mortgage yet.

NACA uses thousands of discouraged homeowners to stage media events and then go to the government and say " look at al the people we are helping" and they get billions in grants. They refuse to disclose how many modifications they have completed. They are unresponsive and unprofessional. I stood in line 17 hours tp apply and have been waiting five months for help. They say it's up to the lender. Phonies

i don't have any personal knowledge of their procedures, but i will agree with what they've said - it definitely is up to the individual lender to make the decision about whether someone gets a modification or not.

Some of my former mortgage customers swear by NACA. The tone of the mortgage servicer changes once NACA gets involved. I am going to my first NACA seminar on Sat March 20 in Sauk Village Illinois at 9:00. I will see what the deal is.
Freddie Mac is also going to pick a housing agency to handle HAMP Modifications. I hear it was going to start right after the first of the year. Rick Padilla from Freddie Mac was in Hammond last fall promoting this new change for Freddie Mac customers who are in need of a modification.

O.K.. So a friend of mine attended a NACA workshop in NYC - she also received a remodification of 2% for the life of the Loan - Her mortgage lender is REFUSING to honor the arrangement - so, my question is for MOE. you stated that you got 2% for the life of the loan. How's that working out??? My friend is distraught..... Please advise
