Hi his address is posted on the first page, mossfeild carlisle,This must be his home address as on google street maps it's a house not a comercial building as i thought.
I did have a mobile number for him which i'll try and find and post up,but i dont know if the number will stay as they keep deleting a few post's on here.

Hi All please find the details on Nigel McClements displinary by the FSA

The Financial Services Authority (the 'FSA') has cancelled the Part IV permission and withdrawn the authorisation of Nigel Alexander McClements trading as Northumbria Mortgages ('Mr McClements'), of Moss Field, Burnhill, Scaleby, Carlisle, CA6 4LU.

The FSA's action took effect on 1 June 2010 and a copy of the Final Notice, which sets out the reason for the action, is displayed on the FSA's web site and can be accessed using the following link:

fsa.gov.uk/pubs/final/northumbria_010610.pdf

As a consequence of this action, Mr McClements is no longer an authorised person for the purposes of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (the 'Act') and he may not carry on regulated activities which fall within the scope of the Act.

The reason for this action is that Mr McClements has failed to pay fees and levies of £817.94 owed to the FSA, despite repeated requests that he do so.

We also have had no joy. He must have known the situation he was in and yet was still phoning people with phony mortgage deals. Funny how he called straight back when I left a message saying I may need another mortgage (in addition to the one I have.) I was prepared at one point to give him the benefit of the doubt but (as his excuses seemed plausible) but I can see from all these posts that this has being going on for months. I'll contact the police and the FSA. Please keep us updated of any developments.

I am owed 499 GBP as well and I have just send an email to refunds as described above.

Anyone else try this?

Thanks

HE'S TAKEN £815 FOR A MORTGAGE VALUATION FEE. WE SENT THIS IN MARCH. WE DID USE HIM ABOU 3 YEARS AGO LIKE SOME HERE AND HE WAS FINE AND SO WE BELIEVED HIM WHEN WE CALLED HIM LOOKING FOR A NEW MORTGAGE. I CAN SEE ON THE NET THAT THE FSA HAS REMOVED HIS LICENCE. I'M GOING TO BE CALLING THEM AND ASSUME THEY WILL REFUND US?

Good luck to us all!

I'm so cross I got taken in by him, but as we'd used him before I did. I have countless emails and texts from him with 101 excuses, but he did confess to the problem, see below. But clearly he was just taking money knowing he couldn't get any mortgages arranged.

Mobile `and landline numbers I had for Nigel Mcclements.

Helen,

I do apologise for my lack of communication . I had initially found what I thought was the only route for getting a "non income verification" mortgage for over 500,000. However soon after I placed it got pulled for income checks. I was hoping to work through this, but another problem arose.

The fsa cancelled my licence only a few weeks ago, as I did not have the required capital to continue trading. This has hit myself really hard and meant that I could definitely not finish your mortgage as no lender now will deal with me. I have had confirmation of the FSA decision last week. I have had to make drastic plans here to stop myself going under. . Therefore I cannot do mortgages anymore. I have considered going bankrupt, but I have I believe, secured a new job and therefore do not want to go down that route and am sorting my affairs out with the cases
I have left. I have been busy this week arranging outstanding cases to be transferred to another broker , but I understand you have already got one.

I will be getting your refund back to you. I was not expecting the FSA to withdraw my licence and left myself stranded. Sorry I did not inform you of this.

The fee you paid was for a valuation I am in the process of getting this back to you. I give you my word I will get it returned. I am stressed to hell with the thought of not clearing this matter before I move on.

Therefore Helen, I realise my problems are nothing to do with yourself, but there has been reasons why I have been unavailable. I was so stressed, I buried my head in the sand, but now realise that's no use and need to sort all before I can move on.

NIgel

PS I will get the funds back before the end of the week.

Helen,

Stress is getting the better of me. I am trying my best to get this back to you asap and trying to walk a thin line, otherwise i'm finished and will lose all. I have just about arranged a new job, not related to this thankfully but the main reason I'm emailing you is that I am getting a payout form a case that was due to complete over a month ago and finally has. I have submitted the payment forms and once the funds are paid out to me , you are 1st to get it so I can close this case. I don't wish to muck you around and feel terrible and down at the situation. I want to this resolved ASAP so I can move on. Please bear with me just a couple of days. I have your account details here to make a transfer. Even if the FSA had not taken away my license I was still considering leaving the industry as so few mortgages complete these days.

Finally again sorry for delay but am working on this to close once and for all and apprec the time you have given me to date

Nigel

Helen this sounds exactally the same as the e-mails i have had from him and now can get no answer from him what so ever i was really annoyed with myself too as i trusted him having used him on a number of occasions i think he has just taken us all for a ride constantly promising things to people but continuing to offer other people mortgages that he could not arrange and stealing there money for valuations that were never going to happen i was promised for months on end that i was getting a refund he even told me he had transfered the money been to the bank and done it too but they were all lies. To be honest i was understanding at first as i would not like to see anyone in trouble but he has taken the biscuit ripping people off who trusted him and continued to do it till he could no more!! lets all keep posting and helping each other!
