Geneva Roth Capital Inc. is a payday loan company licensed in Utah. The company operates under different names in different states, such as Geneva Roth Ventures Inc (KS), Geneva Roth Ventures II (MO), Geneva Roth Holding (CA) etc. Customers aren't quite happy with its services as they say Geneva Roth is a scammer.

Community members and guests have complained saying that Geneva Roth Capital has been making regular withdrawals from their accounts even though it has nothing under their names. The company may ask for your banking information but it's advisable that you don't give away such details until and unless you're convinced that the company won't mess up with it.

In case Geneva Roth tries to access your bank account illegally, talk to the bank officials and find out what can be done in order to stop the former. Usually the bank may ask you to close the account depending upon the policies they follow.

Hi anonymousfrog,

Welcome to the forums.

When do you need to pay off the loan? is the date over? I mean have you paid off and even then they're asking for more? Geneva Roth usually does this and yes they are loan sharks; so, why don't you request for a loan release certificate? otherwise as I've heard, they keep on withdrawing cash from a debtor's account!

Take Care

Hello.

You should close the account if they are withdrawing money unlawfully and without your approval. And then you can pay them off and ask them to send you a pay for deletion letter.

I just recently had four hundred dollars deducted from my account and I have never heard of this company.

What can I do to get my money returned?

Hi Guest. Welcome to the forum.

I am not sure whether can get back your money or not back you can surely stop them to take money from your account. Just close your account ASAP. And if you open a new account then don't give the account info to them in future. And stay away from these Payday loan companies.

Best of luck,
Larry

A loan was issused to my Spouse back in 2007 of Dec. without my knowledge and was deposited into an account that was not mine. I became aware of this Aug 2008 when I received a call from Loan point USA .I called them back and informed them when I returned the call that I never applied for a loan with them in Dec. of 2007. They said this was legal based on a electronic signature and the persons Knowledge of my #ss . I asked how could this be when they never had contact with me. The only thing they could say was your spouse had been paying us. My fear is that anyone having information about you can apply for a loan and have funds deposited into an account that is not yours and does not have your name on it. I asked was there anyway to prevent this from happening again with their company. They said no it is all legal. My question is can they deposit funds into other people accounts that are not yours? A red flag should have gone up that the spouse was doing something dishonest when asked to have the funds deposited into an another account.

Hi Nel,

You mean Loanpoint USA deposited money into an account which didn't belong to you or your spouse? Whose signature is the company referring to? if it's neither yours nor your spouse's, how come you're liable for payment? Looks like there's something fishy out there.

It's not legal if a loan company deposits funds into an account which isn't yours and then they demand payments from you. I suggest you file a complaint with the State Attorney General for any legal action to be taken.

Thanks,

Jerry.

Hi Patricia,

This isn't Geneva Roth but MortgageFit. We are a community providing mortgage advice and help to all who require it. We had a discussion here on Geneva Roth in our forums. I guess you couldn't get it clearly.

Good luck

Go to your bank and request that they discontinue payments to this organization.

is it legal for a company to take money from an account without authorization from the account holder. i have never dealt with this company and keep getting charged ridiculous fees. what can be done?
Posted on: 30th Oct, 2008 04:12 pm
Hi highly upset!

No, it is not legal to debit from a person's account if you are not authorized to. It is very surprising as to how someone can do such a thing. In my opinion, you should immediately contact the bank and ask them to block your account. Along with this, you should also file a complaint at the State Attorney General's Office.

Thanks.
