George - My Restaurant Busines

George - My Restaurant Business ( A Franchise ) has really suffered in sales the last several months and I am on the verge of declaring Bankruptcy. Our House was put in my wife's name about 1 1/2 years ago. I will file business a C Corp and Myself. Will it effect the house or my wife - We have some joint Credit cards, But I am guarantor of our business lease - 3 years remaining and my son also signed for eqipment leases.

Hi Guest, I guess you want to file bankruptcy. In that situation, if your property is in your wife's name, then it won't be affected. Moreover, if your wife does not file bankruptcy with you, then your bankruptcy filing won't affect her in any way.
