I received notice of foreclosure date dec 7 2010. I live in atlanta, if I file for bankruptcy will that stop foreclosure and I long will it take to process of the forclosure

Hi Guest, Filing bankruptcy would have definitely stopped your foreclosure proceedings. The court would have issued a "stop foreclosure" notice to the lender after you filed bankruptcy. Thanks
