Incorrect recording of mortgage

.I live in Kentucky. My question is complicated somewhat. I refi my mortgage and signed all papers and closed loan. Six months later when I discovered my real estate taxes were not paid. I contacted mortgage company and they did not record on correct mortgage. they recorded on a lot that we own. All of the mortgage papers are regarding the lot. They are now saying that I must comply and sign the corrected mortgage. Can they make me do this. Also my payment went up 200 more dollars because of their mistake.
