choice loan consultinng
The whole loan modification process is flawed. The problem is uneducated people who used their homes as ATM machines or are too attached to their things to realize that maybe the reason they can't pay their mortgage is because they have a $30k car, big screen TVs, and "investment" properties they have never seen. You deserve to lose your home and have to start over, someone who can actually afford your home will buy it and if need be fix it up. And always remember: a government that can give you everything you want can just as easily take it away.

So all I can do is shake my head when I see all the zealots who made poor choices get worked up because they made another poor choice with a loan mod company.

Here is a link to information on Jeff Harper of Choice Loan, who I understand to be one of the managing partners. Convicted of several felony counts and fraud on 8/20/2009 - convicted of stealing several hundred thousands of dollars. Also fined $50,000 by the Arizona Corporate Commission. Something to consider before working with this company - not sure if your experience is different but I generally don't recommend dealing with convicted felons and white collar criminals if you're looking for a result you would be happy with. Bubba

Here is an intersting fact. Jeff Harper who apparently is the owner of Choice National has been ordered to Cease and Desist along with his other cronies. The order came from the Arizona Corporation Commission, it appears he was trying to be the next Bernie Madoff. I wonder if this is were the money Choice National SCAMED went to.

Yep, we too were swindled by Choice Loan here in Arizona. Filed a complaint through the BBB and it was closed, along with 9 others, for no response from them. Go figure. Luckily, we didn't give them the whole amount they were asking for once we found out they lied to us about our modification. Still, we're out quite a chunk of change. What is everyone else planning to do to this company? I thought about filing a complaint with the State Attorney General. Any thoughts?

File the complaint with the AZ AG Office - I did. It is the only way to initiate a criminal investigation. It is easy just google the website and go through the steps. It is mandatory they respond to the AG - maybe he will get prison time instead of probation this time around.

If you have paid money to Choice Loan Consulting and have not received what you were promised file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office - they will follow up on your complaint and Choice Loan will have to respond, it is not optional. If enough complaints are recieved the AG's office will initiate a criminal investigation. Since this guy is on probabtion and currently owes hundreds of thousands in restitution to victims already it is the best way to get your money back and hold these people accountable and perhaps even jail time. Cut paste links below to file your complaint:

File a consumer fraud complaint here with us:

azag.gov/consumer/complaintform.html

It also cannot hurt to get on file with the FTC

You sound angry or like you're in the business, perhaps both. I agree there is some shared responsibility with those who may be in tough financial situations currently. Hoevever, I do think it is interesting that the worst financial products for people during the bubble had the highest commission payouts to the "experts" that matched their clients up with these terrible mortgages in the first place. Many of the the "Loan Modificaton" experts were peddling sub-prime before the secondary market shut down. If any of these guys pushing these "financial products" would have had any risk exposure at all I wonder if their pitch would have been any different?

I to gave quite a bit of money to Choice and was give the promise of helping me. Boy what a FOOL I was. Now they have my money and haven't gotten any response from them. I am going to file with the General Attorney and file a complaint. Hope this will help all of us.

I definately feel that I have made a bad Choice. They had my account for over 6 months, still nothing. I asked for a refund and heard NOTHING!!!

If you're not getting answers after giving money to Choice Loan Consulting the best thing you can do is file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney Generals Office - there is a link a couple of posts up. It is easy and only takes a few minutes, I've file a claim after my bad experience. If enough of these are file they will start another criminal investigation against the owner. Since they are already on parole for stealing hundreds of thousands from past victims perhaps jail time would be next. I understand Monica Klapper, a prosecutor with the AG's office is familiar with the past crimes the management at Choice Loan was convicted of.

I hope that the new owner Jordan Ruzicka gives the Clark's from M.V. CA their money back Please respond to our letter or I'll choose a bigger forum to discuss the specifics of your companies failure to provide service to your customers. We have made countless attempts to contact someone other than our initial financial counselor K.H. Please consider my post before doing business with Choice. This is fair warning. I'll continue to provide posts on this matter until I have received a full refund and an apology letter from Mr Ruzicka. The balls in your court for the moment. Next stop "YouTube" & small claims court

After about six months with no action and increasing difficulty in contacting anyone at Choice, I am reluctantly assuming that I have been had and these guys are a bunch of crooks, who should be prosecuted. I would be delighted to be proved wrong, but I don't have much hope.
Cheers, Mike
