I need help to locate Geneva Roth Ventures and Rio Resources

Posted on: 23rd Feb, 2006 06:16 pm
need help locating these two companies they are scam artists like sjm marketing please
That's true Ivanova; whoever is doing such a thing is not justified. They have been taking money from your mother just by saying that it's an extension fee. And, it's good that you have thought of complaining. Such companies charging money for any reason or the other should be punished by the law.

Thanks

I reached a rep at 913-825-1200 and they told me that they keep taking $90 out of my account because I didn't send them an extension form that I never got or knew anything about. I advised them that I put a stop payment for them at my bank after they took $720 for a $300 loan and they advised me that they will take me to collections. What can I do to stop this?

Hi Laura,

What they are doing continuously with many people like you is completely illegal and they must be stopped. You should file a complaint with FTC, State Attorney General Office and BBB, providing all the details of the transaction made.

Such unfair means of doing business needs to be stopped at the earliest or else many others like you would get into their trap.

I took a loan out as well back in nov. 2006 and the have proceeded to take 90.00 out each payday since. Even when I told them verbally and in writing that i wanted to pay the whole amount so that they don't nickle and dime me to death! Still each payday 90.00 is taken. What can I do to stop this madness???

It will be easy for me to answer you if I could know from which state you are. Generally maximum states law allows us to make full balance pay day loan payment at once whenever we want.

If you know that your state law allow you to make full payment at a time then you need file a complaint against the company to the state regulatory authority of Deferred Presentment Providers or Check Cashers (legal term of payday loans).

I called 913 825 1200, they gave me this information to send my pay off via Money Gram.
Recieve Code: 4611
Company Name: Geneva Roth Capital

Then give my Reference ID # to a live voice (not voice mail) at the above number for confirmation.

Courtni, what exactly do you wish to know.

I understand that you have called up Geneva Roth and they may have given you the number to send your payments to Money Gram. But it will be easier if you can explain your query.

not too happy with this site either-- Geneva Roth was very vague about how much money and when they were going to take it back out of my account!

You need to take proper steps to clear it up about where your account balance stands. They are not very good in their dealings with customer and often take out much larger amounts than the customer actually owes.

I got a payday loan a year and a half ago approx. I thought it was paid until just recently when a Mr. Brown called me and threatned me with legal action. He told me I owed thousands of dollars, but if I made arrangements to pay he would settle for the original $300 plus $90 finance chg. Scared I agreed, and have paid $100, but I have no proof that I even owe this and don't want any problems, but am out of work and don't know how I am going to pay this or if I even owe it. Reading all the other post from everyone I think these people are nothing but scam artist praying on vulnerable people.
