Geneva Roth Capital Inc. which is also known as Loan Point USA ("http://www.loanpointusa.com/" ) is a payday loan company that carries out its own collections. Based at Utah, the company is reported to be a loan shark by several consumers who have shared their experience with the company in our forums.

There have been several complaints so far from customers regarding illegal activities of Geneva Roth. Here's why debtors feel that Geneva Roth is a loan shark:
  • The company often over charges its customers and withdraws money from their accounts repeatedly even after the loan payment is over.
  • The company also keeps changing its contact information due to which customers make repeated calls but fail to get any response from Geneva Roth.
  • Geneva Roth somehow gets access to bank accounts not related to the loan and debits money from such accounts.
  • Even if consumers do not apply for Geneva Roth loans, the company somehow gets access to their accounts and forcefully deposit loan funds without even sending any paper agreement to the debtor.
If you are in problem while dealing with the company or if you need to make an enquiry on your payment, loan balance etc, talk to a customer representative at the Geneva Roth toll free number.

In case you don't get any response from the company, or if they continue with their illegal activities, file a complaint with the FTC, BBB or your State attorney General. And if you'd like to share your experience with Geneva Roth - good or bad, feel free to post it below.

I need to contact geneva roth about a payday loan I need a phone number.
Well I agree with you completely. This company perhaps doesn't want to change. After all, there have been so many complaints against them. How on earth do they carry their business after harassing so many people?

Every business should have some ethics. But these guys seem to carry on with their unethical practices as is evident from what people have reported so far.

I think it's time that the officials at Geneva Roth stop their illegal activities such as withdrawing funds even after a debtor has paid off the loan and depositing cash into anyone's account without even a contract having been signed.

By the way, I appreciate your helping attitude towards people who are dealing with Geneva Roth and may be in similar problems as you are in.

May god bless you.

Samantha

I took out a loan in November and geneva has taken out 20 ach withdrawls from my account totallying $1,800 and when I called all the customer service would say is that my total loan is still 390.00 and that I would have to pay so I talked to a supervisor and he told me the same so I went to my bank and disputed it and had a stop payment on the loan.

Welcome Traci.

If you owe any thing to this company pay them off and ask them to provide the certificate to prove that you have paid them off so that you can avoid future inconvenience. After paying them off if they still continue to take money from your account then file complaint against this company ASAP to the Attorney General's Office in your state.

Let me know if you have any further queries.

Welcome Guest.

you should close the account to stop them from taking money from your account. If you open a new account then don't give the account number to them and better stay away from this company. By the way you can even file complaints against this company with FTC and the Attorney General's office in your state.

Hello. I took out a loan in Nov 07 for $300. Geneva Roth has debited my checking account at least $810 (their figure). My figure states $1,260.
I contacted collections and was treated extremely rudely, which I brought to the agent's attention. I then called another extension and found that my pay off amount is $390 in addition to what I have already paid. I informed the person that I considered that their bill was paid in full and that I would not be paying any more. I plan to close my account. If this does not work, I will report them to the Better Business Bureau and contact the DAs office in the state of California as they are not licensed here. Our state law, I have since learned, does not allow re-financing.

Am I doing all I can do? And what might be the consequences vis a vis Geneva Roth?

I never received an email for my loan repayment, I do I repay it?

I have filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and unfortunately but not surprisingly Geneva Roth never responded. However, I think that I am getting somewhere because I had filed a complaint to the Attorney General's office of my state and they sent a copy of what they sent to Geneva Roth. The really cool thing is that the attorney general's office said that they would "take their own course of action" if Geneva Roth does not respond to my complaint within 21 days...they have 8 to go as of today. I am urging those who are having trouble with this company to document EVERYTHING, even voice recordings, when dealing with this company. Complain to your state's attorney general's office. Be very detailed in your complaint with dates, amounts of money, etc. I wish all you well.

Yeah Bonnie, you need to file a complaint with the FTC or BBB if the company keeps on charging more than what you owe. But the problem is, so many people have been complaining against them. I don't know how they get away with such practices. let's just hope that the BBB or FTC will take some action once you file the complaint.

To Daniel: Didn't the company tell you how to repay? please call up their representative asap and make the clarifications.

To Idcitycowgir: Wow! that's excellent. So, now I've come across someone who's gotten some success in fighting out their illegal practices. You're right - one should keep voice recordings, and document everything before they complain to the attorney general. Keep us informed of what happens next.

Thanks

Does anybody know all the names that geneva roth have

I don't know anything on this loan except they are cutting 120.00 a week out of my chk acct for a 500.00 loan which I thought would be paid off with #5 they are now on #7 and still say I owe 500.00. I contacted them and asked for a copy and email of the contract which I never received either. I thought Alabama had a 1 time cap only for loan extensions, seems they can do theirs over and over and because of this I can't even pay off the 500.00. I do have an attorney thru my job that I am getting on this. How can the law be different from one leder to the next.

These ppl are rip offs and they take advantage of those who desperately need help, when ppl are at their wits end in financial trouble they are here to help, help rip u off to where u no longer have nothing. They should be shut down and believe me, I have learned my lesson.

I made the mistake when I was desperate to get a payday loan from this company. They tried to reach me one time and when I tried to find them I coulnd't. They called me today at work asking for $1600. I only borrowed $400.00. They claim that they can charge the $120.00 charge every signle month that the payday loan isn't paid, that to me is wrong and if its not illegal it needs to be. Asked them for their address because I was told that in Washington State you have to send them a letter asking them to STOP calling you at work, Jerry would not give it to me. I don't trust these people to give them anything out of my new account to give them the money I owe them they must be crazy if they think I am going to give them a new credit card or debit card #. I will send them a money order. This ecomony is messed up as it is then you have these loan sharks screwing people out of their money. I have learned my lesson not to ever deal with Payday loan companies ever again. This has been a nightmare and has taken months to pull myself out of, but yet only took seconds to do in the first place. So if you need money borrow it from a friend or family memeber, so someone but DO NOT GET A PAYDAY LOAN. You will be stuck and it will mess up your credit, TRUST ME. the goverment is trying to change the laws for payday loans, but that will take a while because of this being an election year.

I hope that I help just one person if anything. Oh and here is the phone # to contact these thieves at actually this persons name is Jerry 1-800-351-8820 Ext 2392.

Thank you,
Lindsey
Seattle, Wa
